I uncovered my passion for music as a kid. I loved making music, performing and doing photoshoots. This was my first performance of me rapping a song that I wrote back in 2014
I started writing music again years later because my therapist helped me realized that I needed a outlet to escape from my life sorrows. A healthy distraction is what I like to call it!
Inspiration for my music is all around me. Music is a representative of myself and my generation. I love turning experiences into songs 🎵
I am a rapper and performer. When I was a baby, only a couple months old, my aunt Ronnie nicknamed me KIZZY the very first time she held me. My mom told her my government name, and she said "I'm not calling her that, her name is Kizzy!". That resulted in my whole family on my mother’s side addressing me as such. Later, my older brother started calling me Killa Kizzy when we started making music together. My family then quickly helped me settle on KnowKizzy because I felt like "Killa" didn’t fit me anymore. I felt like people may have had a false perception of who I was warranting the change. I wanted them to get to know the real me. That's when "KnowKizzy" was born. I have been performing since I was 15 using my mark. My aunt who named me unfortunately died early 2022, unexpectedly. But she always showed me love and support. I wish I got to spend more time with her. 💔 To me, KnowKizzy means that I'm continuing to introduce myself to all of you. Heck, I'm still learning who I'am! Stick around, and we both can know who Kizzy is together!
